Hello, thanks for the guide. Can you comment out each registry keys so I know what settings is configured, which one does what ? Here is what I know: ;OemPreInstalledAppsEnabled = OEM apps ;PreInstalledAppsEnabled = Promotional tiles such as Minecraft, Candy Crush, Flipboard etc. ;SoftLandingEnabled = Tips ;SystemPaneSuggestionsEnabled = App suggestions before Fall Creator Update ;RotatingLockScreenEnabled = Spotlight (login background) ;SubscribedContent-338388Enabled = App Suggestion on Start (Fall Creator Update) ;SubscribedContent-314563Enabled = MyPeople Suggested Apps ;SubscribedContent-353698Enabled = Timeline suggestions
Maybe I'll try your solution later because at the moment I'd downloaded a Lite version of Windows 10 based on Pro as 32bit for to try and test on an older Lenovo S10-3 Netbook wit 2 Core Atom CPU and 2GB Ram. I had the Home version of 10 (32bit) installed and it runs quite slow. That's why I like to try other solution and came across the Lite version. Installation jus finish and my Digital License was taken for activation with no problems. So, will test it now and see how that work. Just your solution looks good as well and I maybe try on a different HDD later on!
OK, just checked shortly that lite version now. The install of w10 Home 32bit was 16.3GB of the Windows DIR, while of that Lite version it's just 8.4GB!! That Windows v4 Lite OS is based on 1703 (15063.608). While doing a clean install, unlike with the Home Version before, this Lite version found more correct drivers and installed them. The only missing was the Graphic Driver. So far, so good! Works a bit faster than on the Home version too! Maybe better for that S10-3 Netbook?!
When remove bundles all pre-installed apps from install.wim version 1709 September then you got ~8 GB System clean, but if need Store and Calculator then system be some ~8.1 GB, system is fast and more flexible in work without apps.
According to the website I downloaded the Lite from, they also removed all of that Telemetry stuff as well and more things. The also removed the Metro Start Menu and placed the Classic one instead! As I need the 32bit version for that low power Netbook, I didn't found the x86/32bit for 1709, just the 64bit! And I could not place mere RAM inside that Machine, that accepts 2GB only and that's in already! It's the limit of the N550 Atom CPU!!
;Thanks for the guide but I'm unclear about this step: "Now stop bundles from system first create this reg file with you name like" I'm assuming create a reg file and name it whatever I want and place data into the Powershell?? When I do this I get errors stating assignment expression not valid..... terms not recognized etc.
I write up for reg load parameters into regedit, better for now use cmd and dism parameters for now, I will remake guide for CMD ( fixed packages ) and Powershell ( now working for finalizing steps ) when is created file ex. Disable_CDM.reg and start file then settings is exported to this key named WIM Code: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\WIM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\ContentDeliveryManager]
