    Use 10586.0 for better results.

I meant: On what windows edition are you currently on (the host windows not the mounted install.wim edition/version)?

Did you first install the new servicing stack update? If so try the CU msu.

@drew84, this line from the overview shows the wrong kbnr (and is also superseded by the one from today):

    Code:
    Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1511 (KB3156421) Rev. 420 (Supersedes KB3156421 x86m, x64m, x86c, x64c, KB3163014 x86c, x64c )

    I've pre-integrated these updates in a 10586.0 install.wim / home:

    Code:
    kb3116278 (OOBE ZDP)
    kb3149135 (servicing stack)
    kb3170410 (CU)
    kb3167685 (Flash)

After installing, WU still offers: CU "KB3140768" (released march 7. 2016).

I did a reference install with an untouched 10586.0 MSDN iso and kb3170410 (CU) isn't offered (instead kb3163018 is offered).

Can i conclude the CU kb3170410 isn't pushed to WU at all?

This is weird, after installing KB3170410 windows update prompts to reinstall KB3140768, anyone noticed this?
