how do we download thoses #!#$!#$ manually if they don't show up on WU ... no the psf files i'm talking an msi or cab one ???

It requires two archives, it express and a big cab archive

I'm telling you about the update: kb3074665, Pull up and it will be a complete set of updates.Tak how kb3074659, kb3074661 and kb3074663 - it drives updates.

While the format psf little known to ordinary users. Perhaps it is encrypted RSA key. It is not open deletes the archiver. This is something new from Microsoft.

PSF files & DISM command misuse !

ok guys ... i think that some kind of information is missing here ...

PSF files are old -become of age of NT-SP4 in 1998 with Binary Delta Compression (BDC) techonology.

BDC work with delta files to build new file updated but PSF contain a hole catalog of all
variant to contemplate. ( huge files ! )

Thats implies a need to have a your own WU Server to download PSF files and then the work
of check in client PC how many files are absent or need been rebuilded with delta files
to reconstruct a new one that hash match with the information of finally updated files
for that version.

Do you understand that work need to make WU server to parse a PSF file ?

Then PSF files requires one or two things: WU local server or ... internet connection to MSFT
WU Server ... ( in this case PSF NO NEED DOWNLOAD! )

PSF files are primary maded for low consume of time & bandwith in download item of
update "many" clients ... ( corporate environments )

Only .MSU & .CAB files are maded to update in off-line mode, NOT PSF ( without infrastructure )

How WU Server manage PSF's


"Express installation files tend to be larger than the normal patches that WSUS downloads, which means that the download may take a little bit longer to complete. This extended download time is usually more than made up for by the reduced time and bandwidth requirements when updating clients.


When express installation files are used, the entire file is not pushed to the client. Instead, WSUS compares the patch against the file that currently exists on the workstation that's being updated. Only the delta (the bytes that are different) is sent to the client. Since the entire file is not being transmitted, express installation often offers huge time and bandwidth savings."

how did you integrate KB3074665.cab? I am using win8.1 and dism says it can not manage win10 images.

Try downloading the new Windows 10 adk and using deployment tools shortcut as admin to integrate.

 

I used Win Toolkit. Just wanted a quick test. It worked!
