Hi. integrate kb3207781 and kb3206632 to boot.wim index 2 when i booting media for install windows, windows in winpe(boot.wim index 2) request ProductKey from my answer file for windows 10 enterprise VL edition before integrate updates not requested ProductKey any have this problem? how to fix?
Just don't do things, not recommended or common for typical users. Guess what? My Windows 7 can boot without updates integrated into boot.wim Really, i'm not jocking - 7-year old OS can do this.
Thanks for bringing this up. I really want to know why too. Not really a helpful answer at all. I am a technician (not average/common user) and want to really know the answer coming from smarter and knowledgeable people.
Let me explain. These updates for boot and winre are... useless. They will not fix sound, display or hardware issues, and i never heard about installation issues, solved only with updated boot, winre. They are only adjust size of, i don't scared to say, useless Windows recovery partition and ISO overall. Maybe, they solved security issues? Oh yeah, but only if boot and recovery environments have NET. That's why i'm so sceptic about ppl, who want to update EVRYTING, but really have no clue what are they doing.
thanks for your guide, but i not typical users (i am Programmer and IT admin), i need to advanced tools in pe mode, i am developer and network manager, i integrate new apps to boot.wim. before last update, update boot.wim and not have any problem and my problem is with new update
Indeed. Integrate updates into winre.wim and boot.wim has no reason until Windows do it in-between upgrades.
Look, i only told parsix that the dynamic setupupdate is not meant for integrating in install.wim/boot.wim/winre.wim, but only for updating the installmedia itself. Your reply about the uselessness of integrating any updates in boot.wim/winre.wim was based on you not really knowing on what or how. Since windows installs have the inbuilt recovery/reset option it's better to keep the winre.wim uptodate at time of installation. You state that updating the winre.wim and boot.wim only increases their size, but if you once had tried it, you would have found out it is very minor. Boot.wim (x86) updated with servicing stack and current CU: size increased appr. 4MB Winre.wim (x86) updated with servicing stack and current CU: size increased appr. 2MB So there is nothing to loose and all to gain, better safe than sorrow
