this strange.... i downloaded and installed KB4103721 for 1803, as usual if i tried to install it again it says it's already installed (all this is normal)... to day windows started downloading KB4103721 (from windows update), how's that possible
the package i downloaded was windows10.0-kb4103721-x64_ from this thread!!!

Edit/ i just stopped the update service from services.msc , and then rebooted, started the update service again, and it's now gone... that was strange, how is it possible for windows to start downloading an update that's already installed!

funny enough, the issue only occur with normal cleanup (i.e. compress superseded components)
running full resetbase overcome it

for online OS, rebooting then running the command solve the issue
but for offline image, no solution

    Metadata revision maybe?
I don't think it is a good idea to stop anything related once it started.
You have exceptionally good chances to brick your computer or at least parts of the OS.

Not much to clean-up I suppose, but it should not generate an error in any case...

The remote procedure call failed error not comming up every time.

the same wim run cleanup-image, some time the error came, or some time nothing happened.

    very funny.

It's been known and it happens randomly on 17134.48 x86 cleanup image commands.

i don't think it was, i already had 17134.48 (1803) , i started the service again and checked for update and it only updated the malware removal...etc.
also KB4103721 update is listed on installed updates list.
my guess is before i manually updated the download for the package was started already on the background, and after i did update it was resuming the download task.
