It's personal if people want to install it, it has some consequences performance wise. @abbodi1406 also doesn't offer DU's on WHD.
Does WU actually work on LTSB? I tried the original iso, then try WU on it, it always get stuck with one of the larger updates.. Then I tried integrating the updates with w10UI and it either wants to install the latest CU again (which has been integrated) and fails or when a newer CU is released it gives another error • 2018-07 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1607 for x64-based Systems (KB4338822) - Error 0x80070002 Not installing dotnet 3.5. I have tried several iterations and it always fails. Only Defender definitions and smaller updates work. The only way to update the larger ones seems to be to avoid WU and do it manually. Never had this much problems with WU on win7.
It's not needed, probably already or soon superseded by the new CU, mostly meant for upgrading and when upgrading is best to use the "download updates" function at setup. EDIT: KB4039556 is for updating the "ISO:\Sources\" folder, no dism integration.
Dear Friends Are there also a possibility to: 1. Add .reg files for Registry change/merge? 2. Remove all or some modern apps which came bundled with Windows 10? (I always remove them via commands in PowerShell after clean installation) 3. Add Group Policy entries? If yes, may I do this by Dism, too? Thank you in advance for your help and support. Sincerely
Hi @Enthousiast, I have a little doubt: could you please tell me which would be the newest updates that I need to integrate with W10UI to a clean 17134.1 iso? I have these: SSU - kb4343669 Flash - kb4338832 CU - kb4340917 Are those 3 updates all I need to have an up-to-date iso? Thanks in advance =)
I used Toolkit v8.7 to integrate KB4039556 but it failed. So what do you mean when you said "In the installation media source folder"? How to integrate it into Windows Installation Media?
I have an untouched .iso file of Windows 10 LTSB 2016 x64. Now I would like to rebuild a new .iso w/ the latest updates. I think below is the list of essential hotfixes that I should integrate. KB4346877, KB4132216, KB4054590, KB4091664 Is it right, sir?
CUs contain all updates and since 1607 is so old its CUs are huge. You can install delta updates if you are 1 behind I believe.
