Microsoft calls them an update, they update a piece of software in the OS, and they're for Windows 10. Seems pretty solid to me.

 

They are updates for Windows, but they are not “Windows updates” as in MSU packages.

 

Do you have example?

 

They can't be integrated offline, the only way to install them is by running the exe online.

Goes for MSRT too.

 

is simple to understand, CPU/APU/SoC microcode updates are for CPU/APU/SoC internal BIOS, not for your Mainboard/Motherboard BIOS.

never had any problems integrating LTSB CUs into the installation media, but KB4343884 throws out an error:

x64 integration works fine, it's just the x86 integration that fails.
