I'm not interesting about CU, Fast/Slow Rings, Release Preview. I'm interesting only about new features. CU have no new features.
it's "I'm not interested!" not "I'm not interesting" You're not interesting means YOU are not interesting
It only gets updates at upgrading by using MCT or UA, with iso upgrading it will get updates when the option to dowload updates is checked. With clean installing (from boot), it will only get specific OOBE updates.
See my other reply, it actually does install the latest CU in most instances immediately after installation if not actively blocking it.
It never does on my clean untouched local account installs, i always have to hit "search for updates" manually before WU does anything, only at MCT or UA upgrades it did it automated. Last weeks i have installed windows 30 times a day, and i always check for updates after each install.
Hi. I am not sure if it the right thread to ask about it but I'm a little bit dizzy after reading some 100 plus posts already. I've struggled a couple days to get LTSB from SFV using automatic method and command line...with no luck. So, I'm a newbie 1809 LTSC 17763.1 user and don't know what updates should I install. WuMgr seems to be the easy way but after KB4470502 installation there's only one update available, marked as pending - KB4471332 - 82.20 GB in size. I can't download it nor install it though I'm getting "update installed successfully".

I have a bug which has been happening on one of the machines with 1809 which is that Start Menu "Choose which folders appear on start" does not stick or is corrupted in some way. I reset few times the reg key which is commonly known to configure that menu item HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\CloudStore\Store\Cache\DefaultAccount but the key is always rebuilt without resolving the issue. There is a dependency somewhere else which I cannot find. I have other machines with 1809 and Server 2019 which do not experience this issue, so this is not a bug as such, but something introduced in the process of upgrading in place from 1803. It is too much trouble to do a clean install on this specific machine to have this resolved. I would say it is an upgrade bug, but not a Windows 10 1809 bug.
I'm on .194 Don't know about major bugs but I have to; click > open the start menu twice, in order to be able to click pinned programs on the start menu. Only happens once, after I start my pc.
Since 1803 version Microsoft serves updates using a new mechanism, and the monthly updates are not as big as before. So, my question is: I am using LSTB 1607 ans can we expect to not having to download these so big Cumulatives updates each month ?. Does MS will use the same way they use for 1803 and 1809 ? It take forever to download and install updates each month. Does anyone has info about ?
