Windows 10 updates are cumulative. Therefore, this package contains all previously-released fixes (see KB 3074683). If you have installed previous updates, only the new fixes that are contained in this package will be downloaded and installed to your computer. support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3081424
it will be better to add this updates to windows 10 source and install it.it better than the previous windows install media and os works fine
What about WU KB3081704 Three of my systems got it and Main system did not even see it. Has anyone had this.
When you normally install an update, the previous files are stored as backup on the computer if they belong to a previous update, and the original files are always kept. A step further from this is using startcomponentcleanup, which still stores the old files, but in a special manner in that it only stores the differences between those files and the current active file. If the old update is restored, the difference (delta) file is applied and restores the older file. Resetbase is a step further. It removes all old files, not just superseded update files but the original files as well. So, instead of the base files being the files that came in the installation media (which is always true unless resetbase is used), resetbase will make the current system state as the base state. This saves disk space, but means you won't be able to uninstall existing updates. You can do it on an active system by typing the following from an elevated command prompt: dism /online /cleanup-image /startcomponentcleanup /resetbase The same can be applied to an image.
OK, abbodi or anyone really. Do you know if you have to login via MS acct for the store to try to download app updates? I know that was the case in 8.x I'm just curious if it's still the case. Edit: hmm looks like there's an update check button. Dunno if it works in offline mode. It's not finding any updates, currently.
In windows 8.1 it's working without MS account elevated command prompt: Code: Start ms-windows-store:Updates Edit: i can confirm it still works in windows 10
