I'm pretty annoyed with all the 18362 updates, it seems like they keep breaking the new Windows Sandbox feature more and more with these security fixes. You used to be able to do a restart inside the sandbox for testing apps that require a restart, but it crashes when you try now. I even tried the suggested registry changes (and restarting afterward of course). Spoiler: Registry changes that had no effect for me [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Containers\CmService\Policy] "DisableClone"=dword:00000001 "DisableSnapshot"=dword:00000001 Very annoying, I hope they fix this s**t before 1903 is fully released.
Hi Enthousiast, I have a work PC that is configured to update from my company's WSUS server. It offers updates which are quite older and sometimes doesn't work properly. Right now I'm stuck on November 2018 updates for v1809. I can manually update by using msu/cab files. Thank you for sharing this. Are these the only ones needed and are you really sure about Windows10.0-KB4480056-x64_Dotnet_CU_Feb_15.cab ? I am asking because according to your post here it doesn't offer if that's there. So what should I do here? Thanks!
When the dotnetrollup 35>48 (kb4495618) is used, KB4480056 is offered on WU, when the dotnetrollup 35>47 (kb4495590) is used, KB4480056 is not offered on WU.
Just a heads up if anyone ends up here due to this error; Win10.1809 kb4494441-x64 not applicable to your computer. I had to install the latest KB4499728 Servicing Stack Update for Windows 10 v1809 . No restart needed ,then i could install kb4494441 ok.
After installing windows10.0-kb4054590-x64_Net472.msu on LTSB 1607, I've never seen any .NET updates offered afterwards like on Win7, or Win8 and some newer versions of W10. Are the .NET Framework updates part of the Windows 10 Monthly Rollup on some of the W10 systems such as 1607?
On 1607 all is maintained by the big CU, no separate dotnetcu's like in 1809 and up. EDIT, @abbodi1406 posted the full info, for .472 no separate dotnetCU's on 1607, for dotnet 4.8 it will have separate dotnetCU's.
.NET 4.8 will be separate Code: 2019-05 Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 4.8 for Windows 10 Version 1607 (KB4495610) 2019-05 Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 4.8 for Windows 10 Version 1703 (KB4495611) 2019-05 Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 4.8 for Windows 10 Version 1709 (KB4495613) 2019-05 Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 4.8 for Windows 10 Version 1803 (KB4495616)
I noticed the same today for all operating systems. Even if the .NET Framework update comes in a bundle, there are separate patches for: .NET Framework 3.5 .NET Framework 4.5.2 .NET Framework 4.6.x & 4.7.x (treated as the same version) .NET Framework 4.8 other patches for correct update We have known previously that 4.5.2 and 4.6.x/4.7.x were considered separate major versions, but should we understand from here that 4.8 is the next major version, not common with 4.6/4.7?
who knows maybe because 4.8 itself is not yet pushed to WU/WSUS and from what i understand, 4.8 will be the last .NET Framework version, after that it will be .NET Core only
Version 1903 SSU windows10.0-kb4500109 & CU windows10.0-kb4497936 Brandon LeBlanc, Senior Program Manager at Microsoft on the Windows Insider Program Team in WDG, confirmed this cumulative update is being pushed to devices that aren’t running Windows 10 preview builds, but which have already been updated to the May 2019 Update. “This is expected. Anyone who is on the May 2019 Update will get these servicing releases as we ramp up for general availability,” he said. This includes anyone who installed 1903 from Official Microsoft MSDN .ISO's.
