The use of an install.esd pro's: - 30-33% less space - less data to down/upload - ISO will fit DVD5 or FAT32 USB Cons: - not serviceable (except imagex can apply it and delete indexes from it) - takes a long time to compress

Yeah and USB drives with plenty of space for WIM files are extremely cheap. I understand the pro's, but IMHO, the con's outweigh them.
