...yes I know the esd consumes cpu,but should have this option in the W10UI,why i like to have a smaller iso.

I agree. I don't quite understand the point of ESD with today's wide-use of large storage media.

 

The use of an install.esd

pro's:

- 30-33% less space
- less data to down/upload
- ISO will fit DVD5 or FAT32 USB

Cons:

- not serviceable (except imagex can apply it and delete indexes from it)
- takes a long time to compress

ISO will fit on DVD or FAT 32 USB
No need to convert install.wim to install.esd

 

That's a single SKU ESD/UUP ISO.

 

Yeah and USB drives with plenty of space for WIM files are extremely cheap. I understand the pro's, but IMHO, the con's outweigh them.
