Offered to me first, but gone, I think it was a mistake.

 

Same here, got offered but can't find any trace of it, only the oct one installed here.

windows10.0-kb4530684-x64_02ab3d424a993fbefa857f5b92999383f56c6986.msu

im getting the following error
Failed to install on ‎12/‎10/‎2019 - 0x800f0988

 

same error when try installing windows10.0-kb4530684.....

 

Weird thing is, it didn't get installed by WU with the new dotnetfx48 CU (when the updates initially got published earlier today), but now manually, using the msu, all installed fine.

 

Should I uninstall the dotnet and try again

 

You can always try, but in my case, the dotnetfx48 cu was installed at releasetime by WU, and later i installed the normal CU manually, by using the MSU.

Maybe check the cbs log first?

It's actually better they left it, to differentiate the files without knowing KB number

same thing for Win 8.1

 

Followup post to:

I tried for several hours to trouble shoot this and nothing I tried seem to work, I then did an inplace upgrade and I am now on 18363.535 however I was offered again todays updates even though they were installed already. The downloaded and install without a request for a reboot and everything seems good togo.

 

Autopilot update (change extension to .cab because the forum software is stupid)
Amd64 master race only.

 

MS remove the file again from UUP server and reply empty list.

so normal user not need it anymore.
