The folder is left behind with few files after uninstalling Edge with:

setup --uninstall --force-uninstall --system-level

So this means that if Edge is uninstalled, then a new installation is not performed due to poor detection method.
When I did the test, I removed those files only to replicate your findings.
I had Windows Update disabled in Group Policy while doing the test, to avoid interfering with LCU installation from msu, but this should not matter for this purpose.

 

Maybe, if SkipEdge=1 is set, the tools from @abbodi1406 should create the empty directory inside the SKUs while they are mounted. If that's not desired by some, maybe we can get SkipEdge=2.

Since KB5001330 caused V-Sync issues and drastic frames per sec drops for almost all users, there is chatter on reddit that Microsoft has re-issued an updated hotfix. I have used wumt to hide that offending update as I was affected by it.
Anyone aware of any update to it?

 

They are probably talking about 1904x.962 (Cumulative Update Preview) which is is Release Preview channel.

 

No not KB5001391 19043.962 update. That is different.

We are talking about KB5001330 specifically. Is it even possible for Microsoft to fix this issue remotely?

In some circles, the perception is that the display adapter issue (induced by the .928 update) was resolved by a Known Issue Rollback (KIR). But I don’t see it that way. My thinking is that we need a newer LCU than .962, perhaps from the DEV channel findings.

 

A LCU for the current official released OS in the DEV channel? How would that work?

 

To clarify, I meant that a newer LCU needs to be built for the semi-annual channel from experimental findings in the DEV channel. I didn’t mean there should be the direct export of an LCU from the DEV channel to the semi-annual channel. Why would I mean the latter?

This is getting stupid . How many different .bat files and powershell commands to get rid of edge are there in this thread ? Wich one to use `? One or more ? Whats the difference ?

Please can someone have a look at them all and just make one ?

I collect and save the scripts / commands that i find and compare them .......... then the latest one i saw ---- >Uninstall Edge.cmd ...... with ---- > install_wim_tweak.exe ...... and ---- > Packages.txt

Non of the other scripts / commands have that text file with them so i was wondering about it .

 

My Dear Brothers Just a Like on Post is sufficient as per my consent so that other brothers will easily get there needed post on the go & as well will reduce pages count on a thread .

I hope my request will be taken under consideration & most of brothers will work upon that
