I keep getting prompted to install this update, but it never installs. I tried downloading the standalone update (windows10.0-kb5008212-x64_aef75b014bf6a8b9f858533d9dafb07c6f6fb741.msu) and running it returns the error - This Update Is Not Applicable to Your Computer.

    My current version is:
    Edition Windows 10 Pro
    Version 21H2
    Installed on ‎10/‎11/‎2020
    OS build 19044.1348
Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.3920.0

Any ideas on how I can either get this installed or get it by-passed?

    Thanks! :)

    --- DS

Also, I CANNOT Uninstall ANY of the updates that are already there - all I get is the Control Panel to uninstall updates and there are NONE listed. If I click on the last update - Quality (KB4023057) from 07-DEC-2021, all it does is open an MS info website. The last Feature update (to Win10, v21H2) was on 06-DEC-2021.

Sorry for the wrong forum. Sure hope someone can help :)

    Hello all,

Is there a way to integrate KB5008218 with dism?

What I have tried up to now was mount Windows 10 1809 17763.1, integrate SSU KB5005112 with dism and lastly integrate LCU KB5008218 with another dism session.

The interesting this is that integration goes up to 6% and then ends, but without throwing any dism error.

When testing the image virtually, the LCU is not displayed in the update list, but it is offered again to download.

    Is this the normal behaviour?

    Thanks in advance...

    OK,

    Posting follow-up...

Doing as suggested by Enthousiast, I replaced SSU KB5005112 with SSU KB5004424 and then proceeded to integrate CU KB5008218.
Everything went normal, so I installed 1809 on a VM.
Opened system-updates, and checked for installed updates and got the list below:

    • Update for Removal of Adobe Flash Player
    • Security Update for Microsoft Windows (KB4535680)
    • Update for Microsoft Windows (KB4486153)
    • Update for Microsoft Windows (KB5007290)
    • Update for Microsoft Windows (KB4589208)
    • Servicing Stack 10.0.17763.2350
    • Security Update for Microsoft Windows (KB5008218)
    • Update for Microsoft Windows (KB5004424)
    So far, so good...

But when I check if there are updates available, the following list shows up:
    • Security Intelligence Update for Microsoft Defender Antivirus KB2267602 (Version 1.355.1070.0)
    • Status: Downloading - 52%
    • Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool x64 - v5.96 (KB890830)
    • Status: Pending download
    • 2021-12 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1809 for x64 based Systems (KB5008218)
    • Status: Pending download
Is this OK, or I am not supposed to check for updates through WU?

Another thing is that I was taking a look at W10UI and noticed that KB5008218.MSU is extracted befor doing any integration into the image.
    Could that be the reason?

    Thanks again...

The re-offering of the LCU on WU could also be because of some language changes or fod changes OR the SSU.

W10UI is the best option to use, it handles all updates correctly (will install the created ISO from last night now).

When WU isn't used it won't show them in WU History, only in installed updates.
Is the windows update reset update.

Did you by any chance modify/tweak the install?

Ah, did not know that about the WU updates. No, that wasn't the reset date, and no, no modification or tweaking done to the original installation disc.
