Just wanted to know that whether RTM (July) and 1511 (Nov) will exist as separate branches with some grace period, or whether they will merge soon. I meant that RTM and 1511 will get separate updates in case they do not merge. However, this seems unlikely. If not, what is the period till which RTM will get updates and then no updates till you go to 1511. Is it 1 month or less/more. Also in 1511, I am getting a lot of shared arrows (up/down) on many app icons and it is an eyesore. Any way to get out of it.
It would seem in 10240 pro that the best way to keep it at 10240 pro would be to defer upgrades in settings and gpedit.msc. Also disable updates in gpedit.msc. I am not sure how long a system can exist on 10240 without either upgrading or not getting any patches. In 1511, there is an option to defer upgrades by a time period (month/weeks) but not in 10240. I find 1511 to be warmer in colour than the bright white of 10240. Also right click menu is a throwback to xp/7 days with grey colour. Matter of personal preference but I like 10240 more. Plus sharing arrow (up/down).
Hi Friends , I want to know if there is an integrable version of Framework 4.6.1 RC to integrate it to install.wim via Dism Have a good day to everyone.. Thanks
No.. I must admit that I have not, But... I could find nothing on ms-vnext or M$ support.com to suggest that it shouldn't install. (M$ having clearly stated that it replaces the previous Media Pack KB 3010081) I will however, remove it from the (240) List for the time being and await clarification... I personally have no use for the package itself. Thanks for raising the question...
Firstly i want to thank you for your quick and kind answer.. I downloaded Windows10.0-KB3088572-x64.cab and integrated to my Windows 10 Build 10240 wim.Do i also have to integrate Turkish Language Pack for Framework 4.6.1 RC to wim ? If yes , can you provide me that link please ? Thanks for your efforts
I just did a test on EntepriseN edition, and i can confirm that KB3099229 is not applicable for build 10240 although the file can be integrated with dism, but it will be just a null entry in packages lists Code: Microsoft-Windows-MediaFeaturePack-OOB-Package_Wrapper~31bf3856ad364e35~x86~~10.0.10586.0 the actual package and the files don't get processed or integrated
Already submitted question to M$... awaiting response.. Spoiler KB3099229 (Media Feature Pack) Does this apply to build 10240 N edition? because when checked, the package manifests (.mum), specifies build 10586. Makes you wonder if there is a version out there for 10240
Flash need constant updating because the security matters, media pack is one time offer and already available for 10240, they don't need an updated pack fot it what they need to do is specify in the KB article that KB3099229 is for build 10586 only and doesn't supersede KB3010081 for 10240
