PointZero How are you able to extract the info from KB3116900 ? Do you use a program to extract the info ?
SAM-R: For the comparison, I use 7-Zip to extract the component's manifests from the current and previous updates into two folders and then use a file comparison utility to find the differences. But my response to you earlier is just from info I've gathered from here and from looking around in the updates. You can see a lot in the updates just by using 7-Zip. For example, if you open the manifest for windows-coreos-revision, it shows that it updates the UBR value (.29) in the registry.
It seems for now that both 240 RTM and 1511 is being patched, with 1511 on a weekly basis and 240 on a monthly basis (last cum update was in Nov 2015, followed by 1511 ISO). How long will 240 be supported especially Pro. I have both 240 and 1511 systems and prefer 240 for now. Do not know how long before RTM/240 stops getting any updates. Any ideas/guess.
My theory: 10240 will only receive security fixes from now on (patch tuesday), it's already heavy bug-patched and improved whereas 10586 is still new, current, and needs improvements 10240 will be supported for non-LTSB editions until 10586 become mandatory (approx. 8 months later) after that point, 10240 cumulatives will be targeted/applicable for EnterpriseS edition only (with its N and possibly Eval variant) because all Windows 10 updates are deployed on Edition basis + WinPE package (except Flash update) currently, 10240 updates are targeted for these editions: Spoiler Code: Microsoft-Windows-CoreCountrySpecificEdition Microsoft-Windows-CoreEdition Microsoft-Windows-CoreNEdition Microsoft-Windows-CoreSingleLanguageEdition Microsoft-Windows-EducationEdition Microsoft-Windows-EducationNEdition Microsoft-Windows-EnterpriseEdition Microsoft-Windows-EnterpriseEvalEdition Microsoft-Windows-EnterpriseNEdition Microsoft-Windows-EnterpriseNEvalEdition Microsoft-Windows-EnterpriseSEdition Microsoft-Windows-EnterpriseSEvalEdition Microsoft-Windows-EnterpriseSNEdition Microsoft-Windows-EnterpriseSNEvalEdition Microsoft-Windows-PPIProEdition Microsoft-Windows-ProfessionalEdition Microsoft-Windows-ProfessionalNEdition Microsoft-Windows-WinPE-Package 10586 for these (no LTSB edition): Spoiler Code: Microsoft-Windows-CoreCountrySpecificEdition Microsoft-Windows-CoreEdition Microsoft-Windows-CoreNEdition Microsoft-Windows-CoreSingleLanguageEdition Microsoft-Windows-EducationEdition Microsoft-Windows-EducationNEdition Microsoft-Windows-EnterpriseEdition Microsoft-Windows-EnterpriseEvalEdition Microsoft-Windows-EnterpriseNEdition Microsoft-Windows-EnterpriseNEvalEdition Microsoft-Windows-PPIProEdition Microsoft-Windows-ProfessionalEdition Microsoft-Windows-ProfessionalNEdition Microsoft-Windows-WinPE-Package you may read update.mum for more clarify
Thanks abbodi1406 for this, and my eternal gratitude for your fine work. You are my easily accessible download source of updates for WIN 10. I think I will keep 240 live for the time being. When the updates stop getting released, it would be time to go exclusively to 1511. I find 240/RTM better than 1511 in terms of interface, display, and context menu; though that is only my personal view. Plus, perhaps no weekly patches for the time being.
After patch installation on one of my X64 Windows, Chrome hung on startup. Appinit_dlls key was incorrect : appinit_dlls REG_SZ After deleting this key, chrome started normally. No problem on an other X64 Windows : appinit_dlls REG_SZ c:\\windows\\syswow64\\nvinit.dll
Pray tell why??? APPINIT_DLLS (Registry Key NAME, Right Click... Delete) REG_SZ (Registry Key TYPE) .... but to clarify, my post was about what worked for me (NOT an instruction) ... at the very least it seems to have pointed you in the right direction. Yes?
".... but to clarify, my post was about what worked for me (NOT an instruction) ... at the very least it seems to have pointed you in the right direction. Yes?" I agree. Deleting the key resolved my issue. Thanks a lot.

Used for updating Installation Media... Extract .cab file and copy contents (including folders [if any]) to the sources folder of your ISO/USB installation media. If there are language folders (ie. en-US), you need only copy your preferred language. Note: KB3116906 the other Dynamic Update (is for integration in to boot.wim (index 2) and winre.wim)
