@mdl052020 If I may ask: What exactly are you testing with these new preview PEs? I test them from time to time, but has there really been anything new over the last few months (or even years)? I'm really interested in anything you may have found out about preview PEs in your projects...
<So, any changes or problems in newer PEs?> Or do they "just work" every time? In that case, there doesn't seem to be a reason to test them in the first place?
No They Dont Work First Time in Many Scenarios. Thatswhy Need Latest One for testing Pupose & Pass it to Team After it went success at my End. After That They Also Test it with There Unknown Tools Plus Add There Tools After they found it success in all Scenarios. My Work is to just test then at my end for first time & pass it to them for there testing process after i found it passed at my end in many scenarios
Nice to see another big fan of WinNTSetup, by the great developer "JFX"! As you mention, performing the tweaks before doing the Windows setup (which would actually be after the apply phase, but before the final reboot that starts the actual setup phase) is one of the great features of WinNTSetup. I've learned a lot from this tool (and its developer), and use this type of apply and setup from my own PEs as well. In fact, I haven't done a "normal" Windows install (which doesn't allow us to do anything "between" apply and reboot to setup) in years and years. But my question about the insider previews of the ADK PEs still stands: Has anybody noticed any differences in newer builds?
Atari800XL, as you already know - the guys at the TheOven are the masters of WinPE (yourself included). If anyone noticed any important changes, you should ask over there. Like you, I only use official WinPE builds due to a simple fact: The important files in the WinPE have a signed time stamp, enabling booting from modern SecureBoot-enabled devices.
Thanks, ericgl (yes, I recognize you as well). The point is: I like the fact that new ADK preview versions are announced here, but I feel like I'm missing something about the point of it all. So I just keep on asking until somebody finds something, or until Microsoft drops the PE previews altogether Also: the guy that replied yesterday (with the crossed-out posts) seemed to test "something" around the PE previews, but I can't say I understand what he's talking about...
