The creator of X-Lite OS doesn't do this; do you know how they did it? Once I saw that they said they compressed it using LZX, but I don't know how to compress the boot.wim and install.wim
i think they use some winreducer -or NTLite custom mode, to reduce WinSxS folder, and remove page file
Most of this "builders" create a solid wim, it is an install.esd but named .wim. Can't be serviced and unneeded. Reasons to not use it
but how does it make Windows weigh 1GB or just 5GB with virtual memory already enabled and with all Windows functions?
I think they removed drivers too All the updates folders, and optional packages So .. good luck .. people . Slim have cost
he doesn't delete any drivers, everything is functional, Windows Update, Control Panel features, .NET 3.5, drivers update automatically, the store works, everything works, and it weighs less than 5GB.
Try install update or drivers Than enable page file Than See again . maybe they use compress Disable it .. check size.
1. It is install.esd renamed as install.wim. 2. It has not winre.wim in both images. 3. Both images are integrated with 19045 Enablement, 19041.4585 SSU and 19041.4651 CU. 4. Both images are integrated with some Apps. 5. Those setup files needed for upgrade are deleted from ISO\sources folder. Anyway, it can do fresh installation only. 6. Both images are accepted official CU. 7. Plus StartIsBack++.
