well i hope that a key comes with this because how can one reformat ? i would have to go and install win 7 ultimate again ? and then upgrade. I want to be able to keep 7 on my computer even after i get the upgrade. I plan on 1 making a clone of my hdd after the upgrade and then adding another ssd to reinstall 7 back on. I do not want my games and other stuff to be effected with the upgrade. also i hate upgrade i ratter a full install. just give us a key and then we can reinstall the system. july 29 is not that far away, We will all have to wait and see what happends. I for one will be following the forums so I can see what the outcome is. right now i have (3) computers in the house all have been asked to upgrade to 10 pro edition , Overall i hate how M$ wants to end the life of 7 just another great OS down the drain NT , XP , now 7 soon
that what im thinking anyway they want to see what u are doing all the time , but hey FREE is FREE and FREE is me , We will find out what to disable and what not so it should be ok, we shall see is all we can really say
The way I'd do it would be to collect the HW hash from 7/8.1 and associate a new key to it in the activation database before handing off the key to the installer. The end user would never see the key and the key persists through a OS reset. Of course a determined user could find the key but it would already be tied to that HW. All we'd have to do is prepare a spare HD, upgrade and collect the key within 1 year. And then repeat for every PC.
unfortunately I have no modded machine any more, too long ago but I'm curious upon your experiences when due
negative ... lol ... I received 5 invites today on 5 machines, all hooked to the same IP. All were 8.1 pro. No enterprise invite came in as expected
I'm got 4 machines and 3 vm guests. I got invitations on all but one guest and one machine and none of them are completley legal. Both have the update installed and yet neither seems to get it. There must be a common denominator that I just haven't figured out yet.
I don't know you guys but Windows OS is good for games any kind any other are very far behind well kind of
Well this update is merely an invite to upgrade and has nothing to do with legitimacy, the real fun begins at RTM... Besides what will happen regards the loader and KMS, I suspect activation will be tied to a MSA, even with dummy emails, I wonder whether changing to local account will have any effect - they could rope in a huge number into their eco-system that way.
You can use Fiddler for HTTPS decrypting. I don't think you'll find anything interesting from that tool though.
