Version 0.8 works perfectly--no need to turn disable user account picture on and off, and does the job. Also like the tray icon! Thanks again!!!
Just cosmetic, it only removes the user picture within the application. Thanks genenioo, im going to be doing a new wpf gui asap
Maybe it's just me, but I still don't like that I lose the lock screen after a reboot using this tool. Granted it's there when I actually lock the PC, but it should be there when it restarts too. Instead it just displays a blank screen until the log in/password screen is displayed. And this happens on all 4 PC's I've run this on, so it's not an isolated issue. I'm sure I saw other posters say the same thing, didn't I?
I've never seen the lock screen come up on boot in Windows 10, before or after using this tool. Like yours I just get the login screen. I didn't use 8, but I seem to remember it did there--but not in 10. Possibly there's some other way to set it.
I have 6 PC's, 1 running W8.1, all the others W10. Of those 5, 3 of them run this program. On the 2 (1 was a wipe then fresh install of W10) that don't, I am shown a lock screen with the image I pick, then I have to hit the Enter key to see the log in screen (the one with the Windows logo). Once I run this program that first screen disappears and I'm taken directly to the log in screen. Trivial I know, but still seems to have broken the log in process.
Again, I've never seen the lock screen on boot--only the login (password) screen. I see the lock screen only when I ask to go there once in Windows. My 10 is an upgrade from 7--maybe that affects it?
I initially used this tool - github[dot]com/PFCKrutonium/Windows-10-Login-Background-Changer - to change the background but, then I came across your tool & wanted to test it out. However, I'm getting this error message, "Please revert the current image!" when trying to change the image.. I'm afraid the message isn't very clear as to what the issue is and what needs to be done to fix it.. And post requirements are old fashioned - JM2C
Do you already change your login screen with the tool from github.com when using this tool? If so, I think you must revert (restore) the login image by using the "Restore Defaults" button on the Github tool and then try to use this tool once more #edit I've tried to change login screen image with the Windows 10 Login Background Changer by Github, and then run Windows 10 Login Changer by Alphawaves to change the login screen image, and it doesn't show any error message But the only thing strange is, after I use W10 Login Changer by Alphawaves, the github tool keep showing "there was an error while executing the application and it will be shutdown" error message every time I open it, but I don't mind about it
Do you have a restore point before you use github Login Background Changer? Try to restore it and try this tool one more
