Would be swell if this tool had option to: - make password box transparent instead of white (by default it's semi-transparent only when cursor isn't in the box) - make username and other text drop shadow - hide the username - hide glyphs/icons at lower right corner - set background image for "shuttingdown/restarting/signingoff" screen But still, thanks for this awesome tool Alphawaves!
I have clean installed windows 10 after upgrading from 8.1 I do not wish to repeat the process, since I would lose all my settings. Is the new version safe from the blank lock screen from hell Now? And thank you so much for your great work Alphawaves
Thanks SilverstarM This no longer has the old lockscreen changer, i've recoded that function and haven't had any problems. There is a 'Create Restore Point' just in case you have any problems using this tool.
Just replying saying it worked great for me but I had to create the backup image to revert too. thanks a lot cheers
Alpha, can you clear your PM Box in order for me to reply to your questions you asked me. Says your at your limit.
Couple of things... 1. When you open this program for the first time, decide you dont want to do anything or touch anything, and just exit the program, just by opening this up, you have disabled the lockscreen and disabled the login image. Maybe not have these as default? 2. I used the "Hide User Picture in GUI", preview looks good. Go to login screen, Picture is still there. I reopen and the "Hide User Picture in GUI" has reverted to being back. Any way to fix this to work? Thanks for this utility! Much appreciated!
Hi, the application is reading the registry for Lock Screen and Login Screen. It displays there current status in the app. Hide User Picture in GUI is only for the GUI interface itself (not your windows login). To disable the user image you need to select (Disable User Account Picture) in Advanced tab.
Hi, I went back several pages and did not find any post about this issue I had, sorry if someone already posted. I used another tool, and it broke my computer. Took me 3 hours to get back into windows. AFAIK I am using default windows login UI now. But your tool warns me: "Looks like you have used another 'Login Changer Tool'. Please remove it before using 'Windows Login Changer'. Continue?" I deleted that tool "Windows 10 BG Login Changer" 4 days ago. My question is it safe to use your tool now? Thanks.
Hi Murray654, did you use the 'Windows 10 BG Login Changer' to restore the Windows.UI.Logon.pri back to default ? It so then yes its ok to use this tool. EDIT: Sorry didn't see you had it back to default, yes its ok to use this tool.
How are we doing for the soon upcoming threshold2? Will version 1.3 be compatible? Didn't have any luck with ver. 1.3 or 1.2 on 10586 but ver. 1.1 worked. It asked about 'hard' removal I believe of the user account picture and I got that removed and was able to get a login picture.
