I got the problem after applying Windows 10 Anniversary Update on 6 Aug. 2016. The sign-in screen used show "lighted Window" and for lock screen I set my favorite image. But now both screen got the same one , lock screen image ! Can I got back the old lighted-window image on sign-in screen different from the one on lock-screen ? The changer made emergency stop after I selected the image for sign-in screen though the version is 1.2.1!
So after installing this I wanted to change a couple things in my normal windows lockscreen settings, as I had it set up to do a slideshow with a separate image folder, but when going in there I see the options greyed out and red text at the top saying... That and I can't find the windows login changer in my add and remove programs, how do I fix this?
Some settings are managed by your organization - seems, you are user, not owner or made mistake during installation (?) have you ever find found any portable software in uninstall list? I think, no. Simply delete or wipe it and it's done.
and for lock screen I set my favorite image - open the settings panel and set or select that image, what you want or remove at all;
im also getting hijack browser attempts when i click that download link provided in first post, all it wants to download is an .exe file instead of the .zip like the last version
Alpha should be back soon. @Alpha, mxman2k found a registry key that allows changing of the login background image. I told him to pm you. I dont know if this tool is needed anymore since the oem background from the multi oem/retail project shows on the login screen with the win10 anniversary version.
Obviously testing isnt completed yet. Also what makes you think I can control what another person does or doesnt do? lol
I think "The Windows 10 Login Changer" is not unnecessary now because "Windows 10 Anniversary" has change option, now the wallpaper on lockscreen is same with login screen. But I really want hide the user picture in the login screen. I don't know if I can do it by modify registry. Please tell me if you know how to?
I have to disagree. I would like to have a different picture on lock screen and login screen as not every lock screen picture is suitable for the login screen. The profil picture though is a personal identification I would not like to miss.
In the Win10 Anniversary builds you can easily change/replace lock screen and login screen images without the need of this tool but the login user picture is tied to activation process which once activated then windows settings allows you to change it but its encrypted and saved in a file. Editing the login user picture isnt possible as of yet and might not be possible period. Complain to M$.
Offcourse, Mic don't want that Maybe they think it's good to help user switch between many account Ah, this's the reason I need "The Windows 10 Login Changer" :")
I sorry if I missed it but can you maybe shed some light on how to change the login screen picture independently from the lock screen in Win10 Anniversary?
There are two that are default in win10 anni versions... %windir%\Web\Screen\img105 %windir%\Web\Screen\img100 You need to take ownership then renaming and replacement is possible.
