On tests i've made with the hotfix KB3081424 installed and running Windows 10 Login Lockscreen Changer to change the image it has worked fine. It looks like that update is checking for a modified PRI file which may also be the reason why some upgrades are having the login issue. Has anyone else installed Windows 10 and installed the updates before using this had the same result
My 10 install is an upgrade (wanted to keep my 7 configuration). I changed the Windows.UI.Logon.pri file from the one I had to the clean install one you gave me. Using ver. 04 everything works fine except I can't sign out or use switch user option in Start 10 (Lock Screen works and I can change lock or login screens). Before KB3081424 I could sign out (that's also before .04 but definitely after .01), but I tested one of my old backups and could not use the switch user Start 10 option either, again, even before installing KB3081424 (think this may be a result of using version .01). I'm satisfied enough since I can still use the Lock Screen to get there or to switch users.
Just tried with an upgraded Windows 10. I cannot log in anymore. Hope i can still use safe mode to revert.
On a laptop,Windows 10 Login Lockscreen Changer 0.5,win10 ent zh-cn x64,KB3081424 installed . before login desktop and after login desktop, a popup "LogonUI.exe-应用程序错误 应用程序发生异常 unknown software exception (0x80000003), 位置为 0x00007FFACB61641B)". On another desktop, win10 ent LTSB zh-cn x86, Windows 10 Login Lockscreen Changer 0.5 works fine, I copy the modified Windows.UI.Logon.pri from desktop to laptop, laptop works fine, no error popup.
I had the same problem--with a different piece of software--so I just booted with the install disc (or you can use USB if that's what you have) and went to repair and was able to use system restore with a restore point I had. You've got to always make sure you have a restore point or a full backup before trying anything that involves risk unless you enjoy re-installing Windows and all your programs and copying your data back all the time!
v0.6 works here too, yay for having a custom login screen again! (Until Microsoft breaks it again with their next update)
thx working here but my lockscreen is now black even if i set a new wallpaper as lockscreen even after restarting same issue :/ plz help me
