First run I get this error. It would be great if your program created the backup for me. System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not find file 'C:\Windows\SystemResources\Windows.UI.Logon\Windows.UI.Logon.pri.bak'.
with the first version of the script in this forum if you dont specify a valid picture it will default back to a solid colour. mileage may vary
What I did to get around that is copy my old Windows.UI.Logon.pri to that folder and renamed it Windows.UI.Logon.pr.bak Hope this helps
I have to run app in Compatibility mode using Windows 8 platform otherwise it was not responding. hope it will help someone
Thank you very much for the app, Krutonium! Would you mind sharing the background that is shown in the first post's screenshot ? Looks very cool.
My AV keeps flagging Krutonium Windows 10 Login Background Changer.exe as a virus and deletes it immediately. I'm not comfortable running a self .exe, is there any way to manually change the image.
Invoke takeown commands on the system file and folder and use alexwilsons pastebin script The program is harmless though dude
"ENT" When I ran it ..it gave an error saying it could not find "*pri.bak". Not sure if it HAD to have it so I just copied the org and named it that and then it worked flawless.
It seems somewhere in my code I am copying the backup for use before I make the initial backup. Once I have windows all happy again I'll be fixing this.
Very simple. Go to C:\program Data\Microsoft\User Account Pictures, and take ownership of image : ''user-192'' and rename it, delete it or place it someplace else.
@bay12 Hold up. He's fixing the issue For now go ahead and go to the location of the file and rename the extension to .pri.bak
oh, it will work if i'm on a local account, but if i'm connected with microsoft account i guess it won't work
