thanks for the reply. can't do what you suggest as says: access denied. solved doing this: took ownership of the folder and gave myself full control, created the .pri.bak file and run the app
@labvxe will give it a try found some cool images specially for logon background, too bad i can't write at least the site adress
so why are you guys using a custom utility to change the log on background when you can already do it in settings -->personalization---> lockscreen
tried, fail) found the acc. pic in %appdata%\Microsoft\Windows\AccountPictures deleted, but still showing, will search more
Mmmmm. Worked for me the first try. (try changing a different background image to see if it gets rid of the user's icon) C:\Program Data\Microsoft\User Account Pictures. Take ownership of that last folder where the user-192 image is, and of course take ownership of the image file just mentioned. (check those .DAT files in the user account Pictures folder)
not sure what you're doing but there seems to be a copy of the account pic in %temp% folder sorry if i misunderstood
C:\windows\Program Data\Microsoft\User Account Pictures Yah, this path doesn't exist after C:\Windows... C:\programData\Microsoft\User Account Pictures I can't find User Account Pictures, only Default Account Pictures. Never mind, found it! Doesn't work though, since I have a different icon.
