I'm thinking of writing the function into a drag and drop style interface. Drag an image onto the app, it does the rest...
I don't think this has been stated yet, but sincerely thank you guys for your efforts in figuring this out. I know discovering this was not easy, and getting from a question to a working script in the short time you have taken is simply amazing. Can you guys GPL the code, because some company somewhere is going to take this and make a pay product off YOUR hard work.
Thanks alexwilson for your work. Before you guys did this I looked everywhere for that login background image and ran across that .PRI file, and took a look at it using notepad. I knew it was there ,but I don't know how to work with it. Thank you again.
Can the OP edit the first page with the guide on how to do this? I really don't want to dig through 14-15 pages lol. Unless I misunderstood and we can't change the login background?
The new beta worked great. Was super easy to change the login screen now. How do you feel about sharing the beta on other forums like reddit etc. I want to show others how easy this is, but not sure if you want your work to be spread out like that. Thanks =]
Well, I want to finish it up first, then I want to upload the code to GitHub (Script Writers Permission needed).
Totally, but as it is now is great. I had no issues, other than figuring out what it actually does Took me more than one go to actually read what it says, that I still needed to replace the old pri file. I feel if I could offer any criticisms, it would be to make things clearer about what it does and what else you need to do, to fix the wallpaper. Otherwise it worked well. =]
The beta I am working on right now will takeown and replace automatically, as well as I am working to make the UI more clean. I have also implementing using a solid color as a background
What a champ, I actually liked the solid color from windows 8. Having the round picture on top of another picture is kinda janky, or off. But having a solid color underneath fits the display picture quite well. Top stuff
On windows 7 I removed the user's icon or place where it shows the user's picture on the login screen, and I would like to do that with windows 10. Any help would be appreciated. (i found a reference to it in the pri file, but l am not sure how to work with it.)
Got an unhandled exception while changing the color. Got a copy of it on paste bin in case you want to have a look. pastebin com/a2MCWV0E Too new to post links sorry
Ok, So I opened it, went to select a color, then define a custom color, then selected a blue and changed the hue on the side, then pressed ok and it gave the exception, but didn't close the program. I just reopened it and it worked normally this time.
