yeah fine pfff here we go again If you change anything in your computer, the signature will fail ...... i have 10 swappable hdd, and it was a real problem with me in the past for other softwares, had to ditch them.
This seems to be very confusing for a person w/ several MSDN keys that is good for 10 activations each. I suppose those keys have something in the key #'s that allows this to slide by.
Well one thing is and was always clear. You don't pay for the iso, DVD, download or any other fancy way to get the installation files of Windows to your PC. You pay for the right to use Windows (= Software License) You basically make a contract with MS where you pay MS some money to be allowed to use the software. You own basically nothing. That's at least the way every magna carta based law systems (= anglican law) sees it. In this system you only can own something you pysically can crab with your hands. A [put in a fancy way to get the files to the user] is not what you "buy" and only the software license permits you to use the [put in a fancy way to get the files to the user] to install the software to your PC. To be on topic: MS stated if you have a valid software-license of Windows 8.1 or Windows 7 you can upgrade to Windows 10 for free (the first year) For most people this software-license comes with the PC they buy (=OEM-license) and the price for it is calculated into the price of the PC and think Windows apeared magically on there PC before they bought them. They think of a PC like a TV-set with Internet and Office and have no concepts of Windows beeing a OS or what Windows is needed for. Most of the things now are circulating about activation of Windows 10 is wild specualtion and almost unbased rumors because nobody has activated a Windows 10 RTM yet. It's not even finished completly! So stop to speculate!
We REALLY must stop these useless discutions about "educating" W10 until 29 July, coz we don't have enough info about it...yet.
AFAIK and from what Gabe told us so far, there will be downloadable ISOs for clean installation and no keys because once Windows 10 is activated during the upgrade, it will be activated on the device and also reactivate on a clean install without a specific key. No need for further speculation and digging up the licensing/(re-)activation question again and again and again until there is clear information from Microsoft. Sheesh.
