There’s no one-size-fits-all answer to how much page file or swap space you need. It all depends on the programs you use and what they need. If you’re unsure, sticking with your operating system’s defaults is almost always a good idea.
My real life experience: My mother's computer has 16gb ram and she mainly uses firefox, but she always has over 30 tabs open. I have page file disabled. So far she has used it over a year like that and no errors. I think it would need over 100 tabs with content open to give errors.
Well put, I have it disabled with 6GB RAM, but when I tried it on other PC with only 2GB, it caused crashes. Anyway, if anyone is disabling a pagefile, then Cleanmem is a must, even on PC with a lot of RAM, since it prevents memory leaks, which normally save into pagefile, sometimes up to 50GBs.
