Windows 10 Pro activated itself with generic key

    M$ might have recorded the School Key on the failed upgrade attempt and associated it to His HWID on their servers. I remember the first time I logged into Tech Preview with My "Work" M$ account and saw over 300 "preferred networks" that I'd used My 8.1 laptop on :eek:

    That's a very good point, would certainly explain it.:D

    Windows is activated=Pro Key
    Windows is activated with DE=generic key

    Well I expect My ISP to keep a record of every PC I use on My network but I was kinda surprised and Scared when I saw MS kept a record of the router ID of every network I signed on with My M$ account :eek: Never used anything except a local account since, well until yesterday to get the new build :p
