Those upgrading will actually download 10240.16384 alongside the day one patch handsomely titled KB3074683, and will be applied automatically during the upgrade so by the time the consumer lands on the desktop, they'll be running 10240.16405. so we actually got this patch this morning?
I don't know man... I've made like 60 vms in the last week. I've completely run out of desire to test it.
The ZDP patches were released via Windows Update today. Chances are, windows already grabbed them for you.
Yeah I check and it's been install. Just curious because this is a 300MB file and since the dumbass Windows updates no longer is given us the option to see what and how large the file we are downloading so I'm just making sure. Oh and yah. Explorer no longer crashes when clicking on one of the Network Connections.
I had installed KB3074681, then uninstalled it because of the issues. I also hid the update using the MS tool. Today when I got KB3074683, which supposedly fixes the bad update from before, I ran the MS tool again, checked to see hidden updates, expecting to see KB3074681, and ... no hidden updates found. My scenario confirms that these security updates are cumulative. You don't absolutely have to have installed KB3074681 and then KB3074683. I suppose one could have had their machine off for a day and completely skipped through the ordeal.
WinBeta is not bad, but sometimes not a really good quality source. Many of their posts are just re-reporting stuff that has been reported elsewhere, sometimes from weird sources like Neowin, sometimes from Microsoft's blogs etc. It's more of an aggregator than a true news site. Don't give too much about these deltas. People just right click on Explorer.exe and interpret that value as being system-wide (which it is not). Build string after applying mentioned package is still 10240.16393.th1_st1.150717-1719.
I guess all the previous ones are not really necessary anymore because most of them were almost identical anyways, just a small portion was different (updated/fixed) stuff.
I hope that this update gets rid of that pesky lil smiley emoticon inside IE 11. It somehow always disturbed me !
that build dosn't exist in database..1) its not possible released something which not in esd database 2)maybe share out of esd database which is for me impossible....
