I think you need to upgrade first (from Win 7 SP1 or Win 8.1) so that the key gets stored somewhere, and then once is done you could use an ISO to fresh install.
I just did it after you upgrade to win10 . you can clean install on same machine [no hardware MB changes ] Win 10 will be activated .. skip key when prompt.
Windows 10 Enterprise 2015 LTSB (EnterpriseS SKU) will allow you to turn off, whether it will allow you to "choose" I don't know for sure, since I cannot get my grubbies on the iso yet.
Okay, will I have to enter my 7/8.1 key after the install like when you use a win8 key to clean install 8.1?
I'm exactly in the same dilemma. Yesterday, I installed a clean Windows 8.1 and activated it using a legit key which was never used before. I still haven't seen the Windows 10 Upgrade Offer in my taskbar even after installing the 2 necessary updates namely, KB3035583 and KB2976978 and running the tool provided by Bradley Hughes and applying all 3 options. As per the statement given by @murphy78 on the Windows 10 Build 10240 Discussion Thread, he clearly states under the activation head: Upgrade from a Win7 (activated by daz loader in BIOS or CSM mode) or a legit 7/8/8.1 activated system (no KMS) After upgrade, make sure your system is activated After your system was activated you can clean install and just skip the key entry and it will be activated As far as I know the key gets associated with the motherboard and WIndows 10 may get activated automatically after doing a fresh install. So the question is if I download this leaked RTM will it get automatically activated? Or shall I wait till the GP release since my internet bandwisth is limited? Thanks
Off Topic... What is the difference between ESD made ISO and this ISO...??? Ps. I have checked my version with command prompt and its pretty same in version numbers..
We cant be for sure. Keylogging might be removed/disabled by default, but from other hand it is still possible to register Your Insider account and get Insider builds.
