There is no need to wait for anything, only Insider activations have been deactivated, everything else works as it should. I have just upgraded 8.1 to 10 without a key and it activated, then I did a clean setup without a key and it activated just fine.
well, im sorry guys but i didnt understand the activation process of win 10 from upgrade verywell.. lets see.. if I have an win 7 activated and I want to upgrade, for free, for win 10 rtm, Ill have to do the upgrade as normal. But if I want a clean installation what changes? I see some talking abou "machine" activation/bios related thing"??? wth? EDIT.: btw.. If I upgrade for win 10 from 7 or 8 or 8.1 I will have an official activated windows 10 installation. so, what happens to the serial used to activate my previous windows? If Im understanding correctly, I could just install win 10 and use my win 7 official serial to activate it? is that correct? EDIT2.: any chance of somebody uploading windows 10 rtm pt-br isos on mega??? please? please?
While that's plausible based on statements MS has made (they'll upgrade pirated versions), this is such a weird way to go about it... If MS wanted huge adoption rates, they should have just made Windows 10 Home free for everyone, with Pro availble for people who bought Windows before. I'm still curious what will happen on 29th. it's possible they'll release a new patch that will check prior activation status for all systems NOT in Insider Program.
I have bought one 8.1 Pro licence for $30 and another one online for $15, now I have got 2 free 10 Pro, I do not complain.
in any case, with the upgrade thing going on for not official copies of win 7 and 8.1, it opens a brand new world of ideas to make an loader that can emulate win 7 by date to bypass win 10 check and activate it as legit... is that correct? or am i dreaming like hell here?
hmm.. see.. some can try to emulates vendors slics to inject their codes so windows activate machines as oem. then.. maybe, this could make possible to do the same with win 10 oem partners.. right? or wrong? Daz, any comments? edit.: in the end maybe this will work as it works with win 7 and daz loader. see. if micro$oft liberate free upgrade even for not legit installations of win 7, by using the hdwid, so emulating vendors/oems hdwids will have the same result.. what do you guys think?
Windows 10 doesn't use a SLIC and all of the license channels have a unique key, so they can't be shared. You can only get a PC that reports "permanently activated" how you'd like it to by upgrading from an OEM license at least once. After you've upgraded the system you can reformat and Windows 10 will continue to be activated. Install Windows 7 with SP1 Activate it with Windows Loader Do an upgrade to Windows 10 (make sure you have an internet connection) Optional: Format if you want, reinstall Windows 10 and then as long as you've got an internet connection you'll be reactivated
thats sad it must be a way... ill work on finding it.. edit.: wait. so, we can download the official iso (later 29th) and use this iso to upgrade? then use that iso to do a clean install? is that correct? well.. more work but the result will make it a good deal..
