trying to follow that video was confusing to me and when I seen he was creating the file that was already in there I said wait a minute,its already there,and selected it. the video did help though thanks. that's the way people were trying it before and it didn't work. so looks like they did update idm for it to work.
Windows 10 Pro x64 Build 10240 is running great on my machines. I haven't encountered any issues at all from multiple fresh installs. I have disabled driver updates and I only receive security updates. If the automatic driver updates couldn't be disabled I would have stuck with 8.1. I don't like Windows trying to update my device drivers because the drivers I use for my devices are all stable. I made multiple level backups of clean Windows installs like I always do. Acronis True Image Home backs up and restores Windows 10 without any issues. I hope 10 runs well for those of you who want to run it. Thank you to all of you who have contributed helpful info here on MDL. These forums are top notch!

I thought there are two version which are enterprise and enterprise(s) LTB something? The only one that allow the old behaviour is the latter one? I don't want to have windows update keep on downloading especially when all the pcs sharing the bandwidth.
I don't see what would be the point in doing something different on the 29th. If they didn't want people activated, I don't see why they would allow it in the first place.
What are the first things you tweak on clean installation of Windows 10? for example, me: 1) Disable Windows Defender (Via Group Policy) ---> I have lots of cracks, virii, reverse engineer stuff, etc. So yes. 2) Set Windows Update to notify only (Via Group Policy) ---> I do not know if this works 100% 3) Turn Off Automatic Driver installation (Via System Settings) ---> This works as intended, no software bloat for me.
Has anyone tried to install the Home-Pro version and got activated whilst installing directly to a new laptop, i.e. non-windows?
No you have to install Windows 7 or 8 and update it from within windows before you can get activated on fresh install Daz loader activated Windows 7 is working for upgrade then fresh install so far
Hmm.. I looked through most of the thread. I can't tell if the iso is being activated because of the upgrade, or if it automatically activates because of the iso. I think I might try an experiment in vmware first after I pull the iso. If it automatically activates without windows previously installed, then there is a problem. It would mean using another iso that might come out later on MSDN could possibly be non-activated. *Paranoid* p.s. I am curious to why windows 8 volume activation also becomes activated windows 10 using this method... Which makes me think it's just the iso doing it.
