I never Panic , been 20 years now since windows 3.11 just thinking as these days MS is getting annoyed and there must be a purpose behind those unstoppable security updates....! BTW what if the windowsupdate.com or related www/ftp site be put in firewall for incoming and outgoing !! this will stop these security updates !
Yup it'll last 180 days cause of KMS and by then I'm sure they'll have already updated the protocol so when that time comes around...well it's no longer activated
I am thinking to uninstall kmspico after activation for 180 days , by the time 180 days are over , there must be a better way around , otherwise can install it again...
KMS is always 6 months, other words, it's not counting down because KMS is constantly updating so you are always activated 6 months in the future.
well just bought a new Dell I7 5th generation machine with windows 8.1 , so now upgrading to windows 10 licensed how to backup windows activation after upgrading genuine windows 8.1 to windows 10 ?
A question about kms genuine ticket override I have a questions about this though. there's a script included with murphy78's torrent allinone that will disable or enable KMS Genuine Ticket Override Block. - Can anyone explain to me specifically what this does? Is that what you use if you have trouble with a duped KMS activation? Or is it required in the process? I've confirmed that the 2.5.3 MS toolkit does work for activating windows 10 pro in case anyone is wondering. I just don't know what this script does, and I assume if murphy's including it, it's a neccesary and useful tool.
System now by default can use a Genuine Ticket for KMS. To prevent the solutions to phone to MS, those reg-keys get set. Atm it's pre-caution.
hi i just got a i7 dell laptop with 8.1 core ....was upgrading to 10 via go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=616936 this tool .... it downloaded 100% and then the tool verified the download , and then while creating media it says it stopped working with message " some media host has stopped working " and my whole progress was lost ......im back at 8.1 what should i do now ? ( i do have set a separate copy of windows 10 as a dual boot activated kms ) but i want my genuine windows 8.1 to upgrade to 10 as well Ahsan
well i have created a dual boot with new windows 10 installed on new partition , now both windows 8.1 and 10 are running , but previously i was getting an option to select to boot to windows 8 or 10 but now suddenly it has gone and i can only boot to windows 10 , any idea how to get menu of OS selection back.....
I have had that problem with dual booting after installing w10..it's there it is just not visible. You have to go into system/advanced/startup and recovery and sey which you want to boot to and then boot, it will work. I don't know why this happening but it is and only on certain machines. You can also use bcdedit to set the boot menu to legacy and then it will show up too but i find that menu ugly after all this time.
