Quick question: Do I have to use the "elevated" admin account in Windows 10 (Ent) to make it work like Win 8 and previous versions? Or is there some policy setting I can do to make the regular account less annoying, stop going through UAC and permissions? I mean, I get a permissions popup every time a want to browse a folder on a network drive for instance. Tried taking ownership of the whole drive but it failed due to some error. UAC is "off" but I still get these ugly icon "shield" overlays that would suggest it is not quite gone. I just want to make Windows work as it used to back in the day, no alerts, no annoyances.

Not using the elevated account on Win 8 currently and it seems to work flawlessly. I suspect I must have flipped some policy switch or tweak ages ago, or Win 8 is really less of a pain in the a**.
