Does these cmd lines for TCP optimisation still work on Wndows 10 Pro ? Code: netsh int teredo set state disable netsh int tcp set heuristics disabled netsh int tcp set global dca=enabled netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=restricted netsh int tcp set global congestionprovider=ctcp netsh int tcp set global ecncapability=enabled netsh int tcp set global rss=enabled netsh int tcp set global chimney=automatic netsh int tcp set global netdma=enabled netsh int tcp set global timestamps=disabled
I just tried with latest build and it's now down to 2 options Code: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\DriverSearching] "SearchOrderConfig"=dword:00000000 0 = "No, let me choose what to do - Never install driver software from Windows Update" 1 = "Yes, do this automatically (recommended)"
I want updates. I want all of them. I want them now. Actually, I love updates to my OS. I am very happy MS is not waiting for one day a month. Patch Tuesday used to be my favorite day of the month, now every day can be a Patch Tuesday.
some tweak!! you should always tweak your TCP window.. my internet always work best this way HXXP://w w w . pcmag. com/article2/0,2817,1153607,00.asp HKEY_CURRENT_USER / Control Panel / Desktop / MenuShowDelay Set this to 100 for quicker menus.. less lag keep your swapfile as 3 time bigger than MEMORY always you should defrag your PC once a month especially your C drive set this to 1 for good security! otherwise bad webpage may take over desktop: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\ Explorer] NoActiveDesktop Save this to .REG and use to make loading program quicker: REGEDIT4 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management\PrefetchParameters] “EnablePrefetcher”=dword:00000005 disable unneed service! HXXP://ww w. blackviper. co m/service-configurations/black-vipers-windows-xp-x86-32-bit-service-pack-3- service-configurations/ unload DLL to save memory when not use: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer and create a sub- key named AlwaysUnloadDLL. Double-click the (Default) value and change it to '1'. keep the kernal in memory and not swapfile: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SessionManager\Memory Management. Change the value of the DisablePagingExecutive DWORD value from a '0' to a '1', if you have a lot of memory you can make it use swapfile a lot less: Open C:\Windows\System.ini in Notepad. In the [386Enh] section of the file, on a new line type: ConservativeSwapFileUsage=1 (leave a single blank line between the last line in [386Enh] and the next section) Save the file and Reboot for changes to take effect. Make sure all drives are using UDMA for faster speed.... Go to device manager and right click each drive, goto properties
It would be nice to be able to reduce the width of the startmenu for people that do not use any tiles
Perhaps you are right. I only have a vertical row of 4 small tiles, that I want to keep, but the width of the menu takes about half the width of my screen.
