that is actually a bad advice for someone who only wants to disable cortana. there are a lot of things to think about when deciding to use the LTSB version.
so your saying there are no updates comming.. wow.. all are wrong except you. i thought there is a big update comming that fixes alot of things like the XP GUI remnants for example.
It's not working. MS delete the option to choose number last items in jumplist. I think no one using it. I didn't using it even once. But you can choose if to show them or not.
Unattend install cannot disable it.. microsoft ignore it ... same goes to ie setting as well... what u need is just a batch file to disable it hope this help
she is a f**kin bitch and her name is clippy 2.0 not cortana. disable her with registry entries and then search for searchui.exe and rename it (you have to close the task in task manager first). you will get event viewer entries when you open the startmenu... but i don't mind. everything better then having this bitch on my windows
Hey guyz, just a couple of quick questions: 1. is there any way at all to disable windows preview of mkv files? i don't need to know their length or resolution. When in a folder with many of those, browsing can get quite tedious with all the updating info and the green progress bar in the folder title. 2. is there some kind of ad-blocker for MS Edge? Does any of you also know how to change the default download folder? Thanks in advance for any reply.

It's very simple: 1- windows key (start button with windows logo) + R = open "run" 2- write: gpedit.msc and run 3- on the left menu bar: computer config\admin models\windows components\windows defender 4- now on the right you can find "disable windows defender" 5- double click on it and choose: enabled enjoy!
For me, the whole point of tweaking is to remain EXACTLY one tweak away from the OS never booting again.
Open registry and go to : HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Classes\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\AppContainer\Storage\microsoft.microsoftedge_8wekyb3d8bbwe\MicrosoftEdge\Main In the right pane of the Main key, double click/tap on the Default Download Directory string value to modify it to your Folder complete path
