My best guess it's app realated for example If you use onedrive account on your comp it will show ads for upgrading your account with M$ same for xbox store and so on
well we have only little options until now for example: user need a lot of knowledge for "adjust" how to Windows works stay with Windows 7 at least for a while (I have doubts) or as last option make Linux Mint as principal O.S. and when using Windows 10 BLOCK internet access for ever are me wrong or crazy I believe that no
About using linux as an main OS I like my games that is a bit an problem with Linux still these days but beside that I have thought it over many times and must say it's tempting
I'm pretty sure you even could block it via AdGuard, the thing is it might get a race condition/crash I never tried to block system components with it so it even would block the entire url instead of just hiding it -> less background traffic.
I agree 100% I stay with Windows only for games nothing more, excluding games I don't need Windows 10 for nothing more Linux works fine for all another applications sad reality but is unfortunately
Normally the explorer.exe not needs to be blocked since it mostly uses NcbService (Network Connection Broker service) which can be disabled by services.msc [Network Connection Broker]. The thing is there are several other things which explorer.exe controll. And when you block it, then you block other legit services and you need to start searching why you not get a connection to xyz. Explorer needs network access if for whatever reason you need to search for files over the internet or LAN is one example why you should't totally block explorer, of courser it's depending if you not need any of such features you can block it.
Well, there is a warning on top of it, besides all tweaks are reversible, except system sounds. It is meant like a collection of tweaks, not be used automatically. I use it daily, because I made it for my PC.
Bit funny your respond is it not to learn from feedback and evolve the script you present to the crowd instead you comment like this
It is not meant for public, but for people, who understand it, like in this topic. It is posted on pastebin, so it can be reviewed, even before download. Downloading some script from the internet and running it as admin blindly, well I guess that person has to have PC filled with malware.
I get your point but having it on the net out there is that not for the public then you are wrong I guess people will find it and use it without knowing what they are doing it's human behaviour but hey I'm just an oldskool programmer who has certain thoughts about serving scripts to people that not have the knowledge in how to proper use them in my opinion don't put it open on the internet just my 2 cents
