Yeah, HDD is slow. So I use one small SSD for main OS, and huge HDDs for data backup. In the past, Windows uses WIMBoot to save disk space. WIMBoot, together with VHD, is NOT able to be upgraded in-place. Now, with Windows 10, it uses System files compression. Q: How to apply Windows 10 image with compression parameter? A: dism /Apply-Image /Compact e.g. Code: dism /apply-image /imagefile:G:\sources\install.wim /index:1 /applydir:D:\ /Compact [Note] The dism must be of Windows 10 version. If not, then you can use the dism in Windows 10 ISO\sources folder.
rewalston, I think when you finally succeed with this 10 install you are going to wonder why the hell you even bothered.
I wish it start installing ... (You are online while the test PC is going on. Are you using another PC for browsing MDL?)
I have no clue what so ever, so I'll just delete it and forget about it. Thank you for your help anyways.
It is Anti-Virus from China that provides free Windows 10 Pro. I do not want you to use it. Just use it to test your PC. OK? You do not need to install it. I know how to bypass.
I think I'll just pass on Windows 10 all together until I'm able to afford a new motherboard. Too frustrating
Or would you install Windows 8.1 Pro on D drive, and try to upgrade there? 1. Install Windows 8.1 Pro on D:\ 2. Activate with Daz loader or KMS 3. Run Windows 10 Pro to upgrade OK?
Why allergic? You want Windows 10, not Windows 8.1. 1. Install Windows 8.1 Pro on D:\ 2. Activate with Daz loader or KMS 3. Run Windows 10 Pro to upgrade OK? I will be with you until success or failure.
