Of course. Firstly we need to make sure the integrated HDD controller drivers work for your PC. Among those three options, Option 1 is the most quick way. That is USB-Boot.
OK. Be aware that here is 11:32 PM... If 10240 installation succeeded, you can 1. place the GenuineTicket.xml in 10240 C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\ClipSVC\GenuineTicket folder 2. restart PC 3. boot into D drive 10240 4. with internet connected, use elevated command slmgr /ato to see if 10240 got activated
It's a no go, would not see my drives whatsoever. I even put the newest drivers from ECS on the flash drive, and it still would not see the drives. SO I guess I'm out of luck.
Nothing wrong with any of the drives, I've tested them. I think it's the motherboard that's causing the problems....I'll just have to wait.
Are you using IDE or AHCI? D:\Desktop\12.101-130214a-embedded-win8_Direct\Packages\Drivers\SBDrv\hseries\AHCI D:\Desktop\12.101-130214a-embedded-win8_Direct\Packages\Drivers\SBDrv\hseries\MINI_IDE Why ECS stated: Supported OS: Windows 10 32 & 64bit, Windows 8.1 32 & 64bit, Windows 7 32 & 64bit, Windows Vista 32 & 64bit, Windows XP How about installing Windows 8.1 Pro to D drive, and update it up to date. Then try upgrading in-place to Windows 10 Pro? You would not lose anything though. Good night
If you get bored, can you open devise MGR, go to the storage drives, or IDE/ATA, look for AMD sata controller, now rt click for properties and tab to driver and open Driver details, and take a screen shot, then go to details tab and scroll to hardware ID and screen shot. Xinso gave you the newest drivers, but what did you do with the drivers you placed on the flash drive ? I hope you know you just can't place drivers on a flash/jump drive and expect they will do anything. Future reference: Do you have a option for boot menu when the PC starts, during the BIOS post, you should see, enter BIOS-DEL, Boot Menu. If you see boot menu, or boot something, go into BIOS and change the first boot to the HDD you are trying to place the OS on, as you can use the boot menu during post to start the flash drive running win 10.
The drivers I placed on the flash drive was for the purpose of "load drivers" which is one of the options that was given when it couldn't find the drives. Here are screenshots of what Device Manager has.
TY, load drivers is always there, on every OS version, just making sure you tried to load them and not just place them on the flash drive.
Now understand I haven run AMD from the days of the AMD 7 series chipset. The driver is not a AMD, it's showing a MS driver loaded for the HW 4391, what you should try is getting this -02/29/2012, 1.2.001.0329 version driver, take the (amd_sata.sys ) driver from the download and place it on the flash drive, then use load drivers, and browse to that driver, uncheck hide drivers, and load this driver, if the HDD doesn't show, "along with making that HDD number 1 in BIOS boot- posted above", then hit refresh on install page and see if the HDD shows. That's all I got. A special thanks to Xinso, if not for them having you try a dual boot, we wouldn't know that win 10 can use MMX and SSE and doesn't need NX or PAE with this CPU. It was a controller issue.
u say your HD is fine but your comp is what 5-6 years old? that old HD may have issues....do u have another newer HD u cant test just to be 100% sure.
