anyone using this 26100.712 RP, is this stable enough to use in a daily drive? Furthermore, any impact on (AAA) gaming performance? And, Win11 sys req bypass works like the earlier W11 versions to install this 24H2 on older H/W, or not?
1. you should install 26100.560 and wait for patch tuesday in june 2. not really, for upgrades UFWS still works, but for clean install you should use UFWS for the old installer, and for the new installer you need very old labconfig registry keys in boot.wim
as you're suggesting to install 26100.560 instead 26100.712, is it (nearly) confirmed that during June PT, that 26100.560 is gonna released in the retail channel with a new LCU or just presuming from release cycle? And, I only do clean installation, but somewhere I've read that this W11 24H2 (probably) requires a specific CPU instruction set that ain't available in older gen CPUs so asking.
26100.1 has already been updated twice with patch tuesday LCUs: 26100.268 and 26100.560, it was out on retail months ago, but you can think whatever you want you need x86-64-v2 for x86 CPU and ARMv8.1 for a64 CPU, you can't bypass this
The 24h2 is installed like the 22h2 / 23h2, bypassing the prerequisites if necessary The only difference is that the CPU must have the SSE4.2 instruction to install / use the 24h2 Otherwise, 26100.xxx will be the public version, right ? POPCNT & SSE 4.2, am talking about these two specifically besides SSE 4.2, POPCNT also requires for 24H2 as per the reports on internet. The oldest CPU I've, is 2500K & that's equipped with both of those required instruction sets, so I guess I am good.
you only need POPCNT instruction for this build, it's a part of x86-64-v2 architecture level yours should be fine
