Anyone tried creating 26120.2992 ISO uup conversion?

it seems that adding KB5050083 msu (26120.2992) using Dism version 19041 (ADK or Host OS) fail (due ModelCompDB.xml included with msu metadata, or the new SSU is incompatible)

if someone can test if it works using Dism 22621 or 22000

using LCUmsuExpand option will avoid msu installation and should work

 

MDL was just down....!
Test is currently running. Host: 20348 .... with Converter 110 and SkipLCUmsu=1

I got it with DSIM 26100.2454 on Windows 10 and got same error. Something else, there has probably been a change in the behavior:

If KB5050083 and KB5043080 are in the same folder, then it seems to be enough to integrate only KB5050083. KB5043080 is then automatically added to the process.

Must test it again.

 

SSU-26100.2990 is probably calling some function with parameters that only Windows 11 24H2 (or 22H2+) host can understand
so the issue is not Dism version itself

that was the route before (install highest LCU only)
but it will cause FOD installation to fail with 3 or more LCU, or if the baseline LCU is cleaned/removed

 

I tested this with Windows 10 (19045.5371) and the ADK 26100 update from December. DISM was Updatet to Version 26100.2454 .

KB5043080 -> Error 0x80070228 with the ModelCompDB.xml.

KB5050083 -> No Error. DISM add both Updates at once (KB5043080+KB5050083), if both are in the same Folder.

 

it's a "mistake" by Microsoft because the link to MS support article 5050575 mentioned on MS article 894199 currently produces 404 not found error message
so no link to kb5050575 exists

It should work but i would not advise to do it, you will be mixing retail channel and insider preview channel updates, didn't work well in the past

"Lite" is probably not a correct iso anymore, or contains an install.esd.
