I’m trying to understand Jose Espitia’s script so I can integrate it myself. I notice in the script that the author accesses the registry settings for existing users via their SID (HKEY_USERS\S-n-n-nn-…), probably because the script is designed for an *existing* installation, rather than accessing the ‘default’ registry key for all new users, which, if I’m not mistaken, is HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT. My question is, as there are no users created on a fresh Windows installation (except perhaps the Administrator), could I not apply those registry tweaks to HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT? Although I suspect the Administrator might not be affected by the change. What do you think? Thanks for your help guys
With 25h2 has anyone found a workaround for OOBE pass in unattended, my install using a Autounattend.xml stalls/halts at time zone & keyboard layout, was never a problem in previous win 11 builds?
I hope this question is easier to answer: What should I add to the autounattend.xml file to prevent the OOBE from appearing and to create two users? The first would be an administrator user and the second a standard user. Initially, neither user would have a password, and they would be prompted to set a password on their first login. Finally, when the admin-privileged user logs in for the first time, the account will be hidden so that this user does not appear on the Welcome screen the next time. Is this possible? Thanks in advance
