    Hi All,

Can some one advise how many partitions windows 11 should have? Does this look right?

In fact, Windows 11 fits on one partition, everything else already depends on you and your wishes, what you want to see there and how you want to start your computer. So one is also quite sufficient if you are using an old computer with MBR and it uses legacy boot method.
I have currently one similar an ancient and works well.
However, it is not clear from the distribution of your system why 4 and why with such strange sizes. I don't see there any logic.
But that's enough if you know it yourself.

Windows 10/11 need at least 2 partitions to be able to work: 1. Partition = System Reserved 50MB and 2. Partition = for the OS C-Drive.

The 1. Partition contains the needed Boot Files while the 2. Partition runs the OS.

The 3. and 4. Partitions are not really needed, just maybe keeping the Recovery Data and/or factory OS/APP/Data.

Tested that today and had only 1 Partition, booting impossible.

BIOS is set to Legacy and HDD to MBR Mode! Only with 50MB System Reserved first partition, the Netbook was started! And that was with Windows 11 Pro!

Actually Windows 8.1and 7 as well.
The HDD has to be partitioned firstly prior Windows installation.

You can install any legacy operating system with 1 partition
You need a FAT32 boot partition + operating system partition for UEFI support.
By default, windows 10 and above creates 3 partitions (boot, OS, recovery)

I know that all very well!

But, think about those users which didn't have more than one machine! Many of such users didn't know how they are could do such a job with their limited hardware?! Creating an HDD with Partitions on it is for such users not easy! And they even really don't know what Partitions are all about!

I've every day to do with noobs who didn't have the knowledge to do a bit more than just switch on and off a computer! They get a Laptop, maybe without any OS on it, just with a Manual, which didn't tell them more than the basic functions!

I had just the Laptop from a Girl on the table, which saved everything on the screen! And as there was no space anymore, she asked someone how to make all icons smaller! And she was getting reached on how to create Folders on the screen!
In the end, there were now more than four thousand files saved on the screen!
Another Laptop, about a few weeks ago, was for service on my table because the owner could not create more drives! Drives do not mean physical drives, he just used to create logical drives and was run out of Drive-Letters! and the already created logical drives were full already! And to do such, he got reached that from Dell-Service!

There are many more such examples! Because of such experiences, I just try to keep my answers as easy as possible, so in this thread! I just try to set myself in the position of the asking user.

And, please never forget, every one of you has one day started with anything but knowledge! And, there isn't anyone who is perfect!

One partition is fine, just insert a boot disk each time you power on the system.

the real question i am wondering is how little you can make that fat32 boot partion. since it can be done by preseting via autounattend.xml... and 100mb at default
