Defender Remover by Jabra can do it without any of these issues. The only issue it has, it that it breaks Windows Store apps, which is not acceptable either, but the rest of Windows runs butter smooth, the system is perfectly fine with no 2 minute pauses when you want to install 7-zip or open Edge. Something is up with either the version of Windows, or this script is missing or breaking something. I installed Windows, I ran this script, Windows stopped working. This ain't user error, sorry.
this script will kill updates installation. if people don't care. Who am I to complain? break your Windows system, fine for me. I don't have mercy on people who don't give a *** and just run any script they found on the WEB this is how you get caught with malware ... ransomware ...
windows defender is part of the OS and shouldn't be removed anyway, just stop the tray icon from running at logon, that way you still protected
What are you talking about? Whose script? If you bothered to read and comprehend my post, then you would understand that BOTH SCRIPTS don't work properly. It's up to me what I do with my computer. I'm not here asking you to pay for a new computer for me am I?
It's mostly SmartScreen that causes the delays and issues that I want rid of. But AV software is not magic. If you know what you're doing, then you are very unlikely to ever get a virus, (I've had 3 in 15 years) and if you are unlucky, then as you know what you're doing already, you won't be affected by it, beyond a re-install of Windows, as none of your important stuff is there to be infected anyway.
ive had one bad virus and thats going back to xp, put me in a boot loop, that was from torrents, had no antivirus on it though. It would login, and sign be back out and shut down straight away lol All 3 hardrives were infected
I wonder ... I change settings from the settings panel and can't find any changes... with little help from a bird ... secret bird ... so using process monitor and select svchost you can get all changes from Settings app Look, its svchost process
hi, does anyone know of any regedit tweak to make nvidia gpu fan spin ? i dont want afterburner nor fanspeed would rather if there was some regedit tweak to make gpu fan spin from moment windows boots up thanks
Do you prefer having it running in foreground? Seriously even if I'm anything but a Nvidia expert, I think the stock values are backed in to the firmware, just like on everything else, then those values may be be overriden by some code running in the background, no matter if that code comes from the driver's bundled utilities or a third party one, it's still something that runs in background.
Perhaps something which has public code, and is hosted on a MS website, that's also a trojan would be surprising. Win 11 can be surely classified as a trojan hosted on the MS website, but is not open source
