I thank you very much. this procedure works well. I only ask if this registry key works with all paint updates. My current version of Paint is 11.2309.28.0 I tried replacing the version number of Paint with the version of the App I verified that it still works. Is this modification of mine correct? Thank you Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 Code: [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\SystemFileAssociations\image\shell\Edit] "AppUserModelID"="Microsoft.Paint_8wekyb3d8bbwe!App" "ContractId"="Windows.File" "Default.orig"="@{Microsoft.Paint_8wekyb3d8bbwe!App-resource://Microsoft.Paint/Resources/ShellContextMenuEdit}" "DesiredInitialViewState"=dword:00000000 "DesktopAppXActivateOptions"=dword:00000020 "icon"="%windir%\\SysWOW64\\Microsoft_Paint.ico" "PackageId"="Microsoft.Paint_8wekyb3d8bbwe!App" "PackageRelativeExecutable"="PaintApp\\mspaint.exe" "Parameters"="\"%1\"" @="Edit with Paint" [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\SystemFileAssociations\image\shell\Edit\command] "DelegateExecute"="{BFEC0C93-0B7D-4F2C-B09C-AFFFC4BDAE78}" @="\"C:\\Program Files\\WindowsApps\\Microsoft.Paint_8wekyb3d8bbwe!App\\PaintApp\\mspaint.exe\" \"%1\""[\CODE]
How do I get a complete list of settings/options pages I can hide in ImmersiveControlPanel in Win11 23H2? It is done through policies, but it is necessary to know specific names of pages, which I do not. For example, the following registry setting (from another thread) removes the Home page: Code: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer] "SettingsPageVisibility"="hide:home" There are many other pages and I just need their names. There should be a list...

i ended up installing windhawk to get my taskbar back to never combine and a thin taskbar. i have grown tired of waiting for ms to add these features back...the list of new features on the kb page mockly says these features will be available after updating...which is total bs. as it seems not everyone has them after updating for some reason. my theory is ms just suck at updates these days. maybe concentrate of fixing sh*t instead of debating what stupid new name your updates and branches will be called....what a confusing mess. all this 2xHX and moment nonsense... can we just go back to having windows [insert version number here] and service packs and hotfixes. f all this other stuff. i've had the toggle for getting updates sooner on for several days, which others have said magically enables the new stuff a short while afer and have been installing all the big updates and i have seen zip feaures. no never combine options in taskbar settings no new volume mixer (still just the same mixer as rtm released with, the new keyboard shortcut that is supposed to bring up new mixer does nothing) i can however say that windhawk is a better alternative to explorerpatcher or startallback as it comes without the random crashing. just two processes sit in task manager using just under 2mb of memory each. obviously that amount goes up the more modules you have installed. i have 3 modules installed; Taskbar Clock Customization (does have a useless news under clock / timedate feature but you can turn that off) Taskbar height and icon size (thin or fat taskbar) Taskbar Lables for Windows 11 (just realised this is not never combine, it's only text labels) but whatever, it's better than nothing i guess... edit, just found another module called Disable grouping on the taskbar and that does the trick. i'd be using explorerpatcher or startallback right now, but i've had random crashing with those two so i've stopped bothering using them. for start menu i'm still using open shell menu as it gets the job done. maybe when 24H whatever comes round i will finally see these old features again.
I set "SettingsPageVisibility"="hide:windowsupdate" to hide "Windows Update", but the update confirmation on the settings screen is still displayed. Is there a way to hide this update confirmation?
need to delete these partitions in the offline image Code: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\WindowsUpdate\Orchestrator\UScheduler\OutlookUpdate] [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsUpdate\Orchestrator\UScheduler_Oobe\OutlookUpdate] dev home in the same place
not sure if that would make you happy but try this regedit Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Svchost find netsvcs on the right panel open it and delete UsoSvc reboot then updates in settings will get disabled you shouldn't see anything anymore to enable it just add UsoSvc back to netsvcs
