Windows 7 Activation in Oct. question

    ok so I'm going to get Windows 7 Home Edition in October(Pre-ordered). I was wondering if I could do a install of RTM Home Edition now and rearm it for 120 days until I get my key. Will I be able to insert my key in October and make it genuine?
    BTW I don't have slic 2.1 is there a place inside windows 7 to insert the key?

    Yes, you wont need slic 2.1 because it will be the retail version and not the OEM

    just to make sure, where do you input the genuine key in windows 7? I'd like to know before hand

    on computer properties, at the bottom where it says you need to activate there's a link... "change product key"

    Yes.. of course - you will have no problems at all.
