So I just found an old PC in my house and wanted to extract the Win 7 Home Genuine product key. The problem here is I made a clean install long ago with another edition (Enterprise) and activated it with a thrid party program, and as far as I know, the COA is not embed in the BIOS like Windows 8 PCs do. So I wanted to know if there is a way to get back that original Win 7 Home key that came preinstalled with the PC? Thanks in advance.
So if you install Windows 7 Home, Use Daz Loader, and upgrade to Windows 10, You've got a genuine one. After make a clean install of W10, and all is good. (because of hardware activation) windsman.
As said by @Skaendo, simply install Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 and use DAZ loader to get genuine Windows 7. You can use the link from my signature to download DAZ loader's latest version 2.2.2 Good luck
You'll be able to upgrade genuine Windows 10 Windows 10 Home = Windows 7 Starter Windows 7 Home Basic Windows 7 Home Premium Windows 10 Pro = Windows 7 Pro Windows 7 Ultimate Imho, you should install Windows 7 Pro, then upgrade to Windows 10 Pro. windsman.
Do as members have advised Install windows 7 pro or even ultimate and use Daz loader to install oem:slp key and certificate. Then update to windows 10 once you have done that and are activated then you can format and do clean installation of windows 10 if needed. Do not use enterprise if you want permanent activation.
Lol, I'm just confused on how you can get a genuine activation with a third party tool (please do some tech explaining ) but im a rookie on this so I'll let you pro guys do all the teaching Thanks all!
As per the information from one of a member here, if we upgrade Win7 RTM to WIn 10 using ISO, it works.
Thanks also for conformation I was just going with original M$ details at least now I can pass on correct information
