I had problems installing it too. Had to drag-drop all files from the DVD-image (the .iso-file) to a folder on the computer and then start the installation from there (as administrator)...
Where can i find the download location for this build? I was searched many torrents engines and has no luck..
I tryed build 7022 and i was rather unhappy with it, lol! NIS09 won't work there. It is incompatible. Some of my drivers don't install there even on compatibility mode. It actually booted slower. My USB stick couldn't be properly removed, while in Beta 1 it was. I think everyone should stick to the Beta1 since it is very stable. I remind you guys that the version available for the public is relatively safe to use while internal builds, are like done in an hurry and full of bugs.
Yes good point. This build seems like a transition build. Beta 1 was a Milestone build and it was released to the public too so it is a lot more "polished" 7022 is one of the first builds to come out since the beta, and you can see they are still working on the code. Once the RC builds start coming out we should see some continuity from build to build. Right now I have not seen 2 builds that are the same, there is always something changed from this build to the next.
Oh, i'm tired of searching ... i really want to have a 64 bit version of 7022 build. Please, if anyone has that 7022 x64, i need it like i need air ! Thank you very much !
Yes, and I thank you for that ! I want it so hard because I have 6GB of RAM ... and a 32 bit system can adress only 3.5 GB. too much loss ... you know ?
I think one posting about your configuration is enough Do you want to use applications for x64 and 6 GB RAM? Or do you only want to fill it up? I'm using the x64 Version on my 4GB Notebook. Until now i don't have any benefits. The only thing is, that Photoshop CS4 runs a little bit faster in 64bit version. The OS uses about 1 GB RAM, so 3 GB are empty. On your system there will be 5 GB empty.
If i had that much RAM, i'd still be running 7000, in fact I only have 4GB and I am still running 7000. I think 32bit is past it, and I am fully embracing x64
Of course, 64bit is the future. But there are to many applications without 64bit support. Firefox: only a few plugins are running Flash Player: no 64bit version available Phothshop-Plugins: only a few plugins converted to 64bit, 32bit-Plugins won't run and many more... So, at the moment you will have more problems and drawbacks than benefits. The only real benefit is the possibility to run every 32bit application in a separate environment. Let's talk in one or two years about the changes
yes, but when you compile a x64 app you need to test it, preferably on the newest SO ... and that's what i do, i'm a programmer.
setup says build 7000 - it is the identical size to the 32 bit build 7000 I already have - d/l appears corrupt.
