i'm going to use imageburn but i would really like to knwo how to use nero 8 since it came with my new dvd drive/burner.
i know the version im using(7) has manuels you can use.yours should have them too if not, check their website.
well right now i'm using imgburn. i just downloaded it from imgburn website. but now i'm confused because its writing leadIN at 4x speed and its been like that for atleast 10 minutes now. is there something wrong?
no, the lead in should only take 5 - 10 secs MAX, it does that before writing the iso, it could however be a defective or dirty disk..
well i just aborted it. its taking forever to cancel though. it says "be patient i heard you the first time" lol
Reboot your PC to end it and try a different/newer disc. What type of disc are you burning it to? I use verbatim with good results.
a quick look to make sure the disk isn't dusty before burning it, I would give it one more try with a new disk though. if that gives the same result then maybe check whatever method you used to build the iso, from memory, in Nero I used to open "nero burning rom" ond one of the items on the menu bar (at the top) used to have an option the burn disk from image, when you search from the browse button I think you have to pick "all supported files", "nero image files" is the default. I have used imgburn for several years now though as well
i'm using maxell. this disc worked when i was burning vista. so it shoudl work now. ok i will reboot right now. i will be back in a few minutes.
using image burn as im typing this.working with no problems so far.(yep just finished) maybe it was a bad disc(i get those once in a while using memorex one right now.although i have used them all and most work except fuji.got a lot of bad writes with those.will check backto see how it worked out for you.(if it doesnt, you can have the one i just made(ha)
Are you using dvd-r or dvd-rw? I would use dvd-r if you can. I heard it does make a difference. It did for me in the past i know that for sure.
burn image to disc, I have never had issues with dvd+r, except with HP or LG burners but I haven't used one of those in a couple years either PS, I prolly burn 100+ disks a year
choose write image file to disc(assuming you have the extracted iso file)are you still using image burn?if using nero select that one.loks like you have a lot of support so i will check back later.have a good one.
